Academy Classes

Class space is limited, so we must receive the payment in full at the time of booking in order to secure a place. Unless otherwise noted, Cake Decorating Classes are intended for both amateur and more experienced cake makers/decorators. A basic level of piping and icing skills is an asset, though not a requirement, on our beginner cake decorating classes.

All Cooking, Pastry & Baking classes are demonstration workshop, unless and otherwise stated.

Cancellation Policy

The Cake Craft & Culinary Arts reserves the right to cancel or change the nature of all courses. In the unlikely event of a class cancellation, the Cake Craft & Culinary Arts will give students as much advance notice as possible and offer a full refund of the cost of the class only. In the case of a date rescheduling, students will be given the option to transfer to the rescheduled class or of a full refund of the cost of the class only. For those who opt for a full refund, please be advised that the Cake Craft & Culinary Arts my takes no responsibility for travel or accommodation expenses incurred. Cake Craft & Culinary Arts is unable to offer refunds on any courses booked. Transfers to another class may be approved, but only in extenuating circumstances and at the sole discretion of the Cake Craft & Culinary Arts. In these cases, the Cake Craft & Culinary Arts must be advised in writing at least 3 days prior to the commencement of class. In the event that a student is unable to attend a class and would like to send a substitution, she must notify the Cake Craft & Culinary Arts in advance.

Materials & Equipment

The Cake Craft & Culinary Arts will provide all materials and equipment required for the class, unless stated otherwise. All tools and equipment used in class remain property of the Cake Craft & Culinary Arts and should not be removed from the teaching facilities. Certain tools and equipment used during class may be available for purchase at the conclusion of the course.

Student Conduct

Students are expected to be courteous and respectful of their peers and tutors. Students are not permitted to use mobile phones in the classroom. For the hands on classes, students are required to wear comfortable, close-toed shoes such as trainers (please no sandals or high heels). Students should have their hair neatly tied back at all times. The Cake Craft & Culinary Arts will provide aprons to all students for the class use. Students are welcome to take photographs of demonstrations and of their work, but videos and other recordings are strictly prohibited.

Copyright Policy

Cake Craft & Culinary Arts needs to protect her cake designs & recipes, which have taken years of skill and practice to design and create. Students should understand that to copy one of Cake Craft & Culinary Arts cake designs would cause loss and damage to her business. Cake Craft & Culinary Arts is to teach techniques that will enable and inspire students to create their own designs. All designs & recipes taught by Academy tutors are the exclusive intellectual property of the Cake Craft & Culinary Arts. They must not be used under any circumstances for commercial purposes. Students are not permitted to recreate for commercial purposes any of the cake designs & recipes that are taught during class or seen while at the Cake Craft & Culinary Arts. Students at the Academy will see cakes and pictures of cakes and be taught techniques including but not limited to baking, cake decorating and sugarcraft. Students are not permitted to reproduce for commercial purposes any cake they see at the Cake Craft & Culinary Arts or that Rupali has created.
